Caledonia, Minn – Carl F. Fischer, 67, Caledonia, Minn., died peacefully Monday (May 27, 2024) at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wis., with family by his side.

He was born in La Crosse Sept. 20, 1956, to Shirley (Weist) Fischer of La Crescent, and Fred Fischer, Kenosha, Wis.

He graduated from La Crescent High School in 1975 and served 5 years in the U.S. Air Force. After discharging from the Air Force, he had enjoyed a long career as a carpenter. Throughout his carpentry career he worked at Early Drywall & Construction, Poellinger Inc, and Fowler & Hammer.

He leaves behind a loving family. Survivors include: 5 brothers, Donald (Janice) of Green Bay, Wis., Thomas (Dee) of Valparaiso, Fla., Fred, Richard, and Robert all of Onalaska, Wis., 1 sister: Ann Wilson of Tomah, Wis., and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by both parents, grandparents and 2 brothers (Billy and Michael).

A Remembrance Gathering will be held on Sept 21st at the Onalaska Legion from 10am to 1pm.
