Glenn Raymond Green

 Glenn Raymond Green, 78, passed away from a long journey with cancer on Monday, September 2, 2024 at Mayo Hospital in La Crosse, Wisconsin. He was born on December 30, 1945 in Denver, CO to George and Gladys Green. He grew up in Chicago, Illinois and was active in sports and his church youth group. Glenn graduated from Park College and married Pamela Farnam. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War, and subsequently moved to Wisconsin to work and raise his family. Glenn enjoyed his career in marketing and worked for numerous companies. He worked for JF Brennan for 18 years until retirement finding it fulfilling and energizing. In recognition of his contributions to JF Brennan’s success, Glenn had a vessel named in his honor, which is currently on the job. Throughout his life, he enjoyed boating, tennis, and photography. In 1991, he and PJ were married. They began traveling by RV in retirement.

Family meant everything to Glenn. He is survived by: his wife PJ; his brothers, George (Rita) Green and Geoff Green; his children, Brad (Christiane) Green, Ryan (Sarah) Green, and Nicole (Michael) DeMattia; and 12 grandchildren and one great grandson.

The memorial service will be in La Crosse, WI at Olivet Lutheran Church on Saturday, September 14 at 3:00, with visitation beginning at 2:00. There will be a time of fellowship with refreshments immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The family wishes to thank the staff at Mayo Clinic for their support as well as the staff and members of Olivet and neighbors.

    Dear PJ and family, so sorry for your loss. Glenn would always be at Monday’s Meals greeting, serving and especially helping the children, elderly, and the physicality handicapped with carrying the lunch trays, milk and desserts. Thank you for your support 🙏

    so sorry , of glenn’s passing. we knew him for many yrs back to
    the tennis club days. He always treated my father so well, as he
    loved being at the club. He was a great guy and we will always remember
    him .
