It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Kristina Marie “Krissy/Mrs. Pookie” (Newland) Weise on Sunday March 30th, 2025. She was born on February 26th, 1979 to Douglas and Mary (Abbott) Newland in Mesquite, Texas.

Krissy met the love of her life, Timothy “T.J.” Weise through Becky (Arriaga) Weise (T.J.’s ex-wife) on January 21st 2002 and they married five years later on January 21st 2007.

Because she was born in Texas, Krissy originally supported the Dallas Cowboys. But when she met T.J. that quickly changed to, “lovin herself some green and gold” of the Green Bay Packers.

She also loved all “frog” things and every room was touched with frog items.

Truely, Krissy had a heart of gold. She was a loving, kind and patient wife, an awesome boss and a generous friend. Opening her home up to others who needed a temporary helping hand.

She is survived by her beloved husband T.J. Weise, daughters Amethyst (Kevin) Brown [grandkids- Kayla, Levi, Trinity and Logan], Ruby (Taylor) Cox [grandkids- Preston, Nathan and Elizabeth], Josephine “Jade” Weise and “adopted” son Matthew (Jessica) Cason Clark [grandson Matthew Cason Clark Jr.], a brother Kenneth (Angela) Newland [nephew Ryder], brother-in-law Anthony “Tony” Wynne, nephew Joshua Vickers, nieces Ashley Wynne, Shayla Wynne, nephew Anthony Jr. “T” Wynne.

Krissy is further survived by sisters-in-law Carla Pena, Karen Walchak, Nancy Weise and brother-in-law David Weise in addition to many nephews, nieces and extended family on the Weise side of the family.

Krissy was preceded in death by her parents Douglas and Mary Newland a sister Jamie Lindsey, stepfather James Lindsey, and her very cherished sister Michelle “Shae” Wynne.

The family will announce a “Celebration of Life” at a later date.
