Patricia Ann Dockham
In Loving Memory of Patricia Ann Dockham
March 19, 1949 – June 1, 2025
The bright sun slipped behind a cloud, and for a moment, the world stood still. Heaven called one of its angels home, as her time on Earth came to a peaceful close.
Patricia Ann Dockham, lovingly known as Patty, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025, surrounded by her devoted family. She was born on March 19, 1949, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, to James and Mary Ellen Dockham.
Patty was the picture of kindness, compassion, and grace. A true angel among us, she lived a life of service, always placing the needs of others before her own. Her gentle spirit and unwavering generosity touched everyone she met.
Of all the roles Patty played in life, none meant more to her than being a mother. Her beloved daughter, Nicole (Nikki), was the joy of her life. Patty took immense pride in Nikki’s accomplishments, especially her compassionate work as a registered nurse. In her final days, Patty was lovingly cared for by Nikki, a beautiful reflection of the bond they shared.
Patty’s heart overflowed with joy at becoming a grandmother. Nikki and her husband, Peter, blessed her with two granddaughters, Taylor and Paige, who became the light of her life. Patty never missed a dance recital or special event and was a constant, loving presence. She proudly shared their stories and photos with anyone who would listen. Being “Grandma Patty” was a title she cherished deeply.
Patty also shared a special bond with her nieces and nephews, whom she loved as if they were her own children. Her great-nieces and great-nephews brought her immeasurable joy, and she treasured them as though they were her grandchildren. Her love, laughter, and warmth will remain a lasting legacy in their lives.
She spent her time loving, caring, and spreading joy to her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling and never passed up a fun night out with her closest friends, whether it was catching a good movie, sharing a meal, playing bingo, or sitting together over coffee and laughter.
Professionally, Patty devoted herself to helping others through her work at The Job Center and Couleecap, connecting people to jobs, housing, food, transportation, and essential resources. Her generosity extended beyond her career. She quietly supported young women who needed encouragement and stability, offering a safe space, a listening ear, and unconditional kindness during difficult times.
As we grieve the loss of someone so special, we take comfort in God’s promise of eternal life. Though our hearts are heavy, we trust that Patty’s pain has ended, and her new journey has begun, likely surrounded by laughter and all the chips and dip her heart desires.
The family offers heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and caregivers who supported Patty, and to her devoted daughter, grandchildren, brothers, nieces, and nephews who stood beside her with love and care.
Patty leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and faith. Her memory lives on in the countless lives she touched and the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary Ellen Dockham, and her brother James. She is survived by her daughter Nikki (Pete) Eide; granddaughters Taylor and Paige; brothers Thomas (Michelle), Dennis, and David; nieces and nephews Jen, Lindsey (David), Cassie (Jason), Blythe, Zach (Anna), and Carson; and great-nieces and great-nephews Aldren, Maddisyn, Alexis, Tenley, Ashton, Emmersyn, and Roscoe.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 28th at The Gathering Place, 133 Mason St., Onalaska, WI 54650.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a service at 11:00 a.m., and a luncheon at 12:00 p.m.

So sorry to hear of Patty’s passing. We’d occasionally see her at the Holmen Legion bingo night and she was always upbeat and friendly. She came from a wonderful northside family and like her Ma and Pa and brothers…she was a true Logan Ranger. God bless Patty and the Dockham Family. You have our deepest sympathies.
