Clarence “Bud” Edward Michener 89, passed away peacefully at Bluffview Memory Care in Holmen, on June 5, 2025.

He was born December 2, 1935, to the late Earl Harvey Michener and Eleanore (Eckart) Michener. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Judy Michener; son, Jeff Michener; sisters, Adeline Jeanette (Michener) Moulton, Dorothy Hilda (Michener) Harnisch, and Beverly “Peggy” (Michener) Erickson; and brothers, James Earl Michener, William George Thomas Michener, and Douglas Karl Michener.

Bud is survived by a sister, Ione Marie (Michener) Roland and many nieces and nephews.

Bud joined the US Marine Corp. Reserves in 1953 while still in school. He was responsible for recruiting a large group of his classmates into the Marines and was honored for his efforts. He was honorably discharged in 1961.

Bud worked for Trane Company for 10 years as an air conditioning and refrigeration technician. Bud owned and operated his own construction business, Michener Construction, and built houses for 38 years, retiring in 2005. Bud enjoyed fishing, hunting and putting together jigsaw puzzles. His greatest qualities were his kindness, sense of humor and willingness to help anyone. He would “give you the shirt off his back” if you needed it.

The family would like to thank St. Croix Hospice and Bluffview Memory Care for the care and kindness given to Bud while he was a resident at Bluffview.
