Obituary
Martha Ann Armstrong
Martha Ann Armstrong, 84, of Holmen, Passed away peacefully at home on June 20, 2025. She was born on October 26, 1940, to Wenzel and Ida (Fillner) Kaiser.
Martha enjoyed playing cards around the table for hours with friends and family, rooting for the Packers and her numbers, quilting with her sisters and fishing, especially with her grandson Derek. She loved playing Bingo and her trips to casino with dad and with her children on her “special days”, Mother’s Day and Her Birthday, and any other time someone would take her.
Mom has spent all her life giving of herself, always ready to serve anyone entering her domain with a hot cup of coffee and a listening ear, rarely complaining of the pain and sorrow she has endured. Memories of years long past drifted in and out of her mind as she waited patiently for God to take her into His loving arms.
Martha is survived by her daughters, Robin Scheel (Mark Bigalke), Lisa Stenslien (Donald), Angela Lockington (Rocky), Kerri Armstrong (Todd Stigen) and Son Robert M. Armstrong. Grandchildren, Derek Armstrong (Arley), David Scheel, Rick Stenslien, Todd Stenslien, Scot Stenslien (Jacinda Sanders), Lucas Lockington (Stephani), Dillon Lockington (Samatha), Tony Tschirley (Sara), Brianna Stigen, Dane Armstrong and Chloe Armstrong (Daryian Harris). 15 great grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter, sister, Delores Soller and brother Roger Kaiser (Emmie).
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Wenzel and Ida Kaiser, her husband, Robert W. Armstrong, 8 brothers and 5 sisters. The family would like to extend special thanks and appreciation to Dr. James Munn, Emplify Health by Gundersen, for all his special care of our mother through the years. Also, a heartfelt thank you to special friends Linda and Scott Jungen for all your care and support.
Services for Martha will be held on Wednesday, July 02, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. at The Gathering Place, 133 Mason Street, Onalaska. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family during this difficult time.
Martha was kind and a giving wonderful lady.
I loved her dearly with the memories shared
after she married my Uncle Bob.
She was so good to our family.
I fondly always called her Auntie Mart.
So sorry to hear about “Ma’s” passing. She was a wonderful woman. Remembering going over to the house to visit and she was usually at the kitchen table with a coffee cup. Know that now she is united with her husband, and remember the good memories. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Prayers and thoughts to all of her family.
