Kayla Beth Malli, 32, of Madison, WI, passed away unexpectedly at her home on June 21, 2025.

Kayla was born on February 21, 1993, in La Crosse, WI to Mark Malli and Kerri Stoner McDowell. Kayla was one of the purest, most emphatic, noisiest (if you know, you know) souls you could ever meet. She was full of giggles mostly when she or someone else was getting into trouble. Kayla was always unabashedly obsessed with her newest favorite items like her stuffed black cats and large collection of sleeping bags. After graduating from Monona Grove High School Kayla enjoyed getting out in the community with her different jobs and meeting new friends.

Survivors include her parents, Marc & Kerri (Stoner) McDowell; her brothers, Luke Malli, Garrett Bartley and Ryan McDowell; along with her grandparents, Don & Mary Stoner; grandma, “Sandy”, the “boogeyman” (Larry McDowell), as well as her big extended family of uncles, aunts and cousins. Kayla will always be loved by family on both sides of eternity. Until we see her again, we know that she will live every moment loved by Jesus.
