Thomas Edward Fuchsteiner
Thomas Edward Fuchsteiner, born October 31, 1946, passed away on July 6, 2025, at the age of 78.
Tom was the beloved son of Edward and Patricia Fuchsteiner. He grew up in La Crosse, Wisconsin, where he attended Catholic grade school and graduated from Aquinas High School in 1964. As a young boy, he worked as a caddy at the La Crosse Country Club, sparking a lifelong love of the game of golf.
Tom married Patricia Jean Harding on June 18, 1966, and they had three children. He served six years in the Army Reserves, doing his training at Fort Bragg. Tom also found joy and peace in his gardens, whether tending to rows of vegetables or carefully cultivating his flowers. He was a fan of the Packers, Badgers, and Brewers.
He is survived by his children: son, James (Jennifer Bausch); daughters, Julie Wichelt, and Kristine (John) Sanchez; grandchildren: Megan (Kyle) Rothstein, Molly (Ian) Durgin, Thomas and Emily Sanchez, Madelyn, Justin and Austin Bausch, and great-grandchildren: Ryan and Ruby Rothstein.
He was preceded in death by ex-wife, Patricia, and his parents; and daughter-in-law, Pamela Fuchsteiner.
A private service for immediate family will be held. Memorials can be directed to Hospice at Gundersen-Emplify Health.
