Barbara Jean Mousa (Powers), passed away Monday July 28th, 2025 in Burnsville, MN at age 80.

She was born December 7th 1944 to Raymond and Aleda Powers, raised on the Northside of La Crosse, a graduate of Logan High School, as a cheerleader she met and later married Kenneth Barker. They had 3 children Lisa, Lori, and Erik. Barbara was a loving mother and housewife. In 1984 Ken and Barbara divorced. In 1989 Barbara married Fwhumba Mousa in Rochester, MN, they remained married for over 25 years. Barbara’s Love, Intellect and Class will be missed.

Barbara is preceded in death by her Father Raymond Powers (1962) and Mother Aleda Powers (Johnson)(2000).

She is survived by Sister Patricia (Ronald) Peek of Onalaska; Brother Gary (Joan) Powers of Holmen; Daughter Lisa (Russell) Hicks of West Salem, WI; Daughter Lori Barker of Sanger, Texas; Son Erik (Amy) Barker of Rochester, MN; Grandson Joshua (Barbara) Hicks of Osseo, WI; Granddaughter Malinda Prasil of Sanger, Texas; Grandson Andrew Prasil of Sanger, Texas; Granddaughter Ashlee Hicks of West Salem, WI, Granddaughter Emily Barker of Rochester, MN; Grandson Ethan Barker of Rochester, MN. Great Grandchildren Chloe, Paige, Aksel, and Oliver. As well as several Nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.

Burial Services will be Friday August 15th 2025 at 11:30 A.M. at Oak Grove Cemetery in La Crosse, WI.  Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
