Eleanor “Ellie” Elaine Evans
Eleanor “Ellie” Elaine Evans, age 85, of Sparta, Wisconsin, was received into the arms of Jesus on November 12, 2025.
She was born in Sparta to Elwin and Pearl Dickenson. She married David Evans in November of 1963 in Sparta. Ellie was a devoted mother, loving grandmother, a lover of cats, and a woman whose faith in God carried her through every season of life. Ellie was known for her warmth, kindness, and her effortless style. She never went anywhere without her lipstick, and she had a natural grace that made people feel welcome in her presence. She was a wonderful cook – her apple pie was a family favorite – and she brought comfort and joy to others through every meal she made.
Ellie worked for many years managing the clothing store Fashion Crossroads, where her eye for fashion and her caring personality touched countless people. Later as a cashier at Jubilee, she became a familiar and beloved face to customers who appreciated her friendly smile.
Ellie is survived by her daughter Wendy Evans; her son Wes Evans (Audra Compton); her grandchildren Jocelyn and Brody; her brother Douglas Dickenson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her husband David Evans; her granddaughter Josie Evans; her sister Audrey Hubert; her brother Dale Dickenson; and her parents Elwin and Pearl Dickenson.
Visitation will be held on December 8th at 10:00 a.m., followed by an 11:00 a.m. service at New Life Church, Sparta, Wisconsin.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and faith, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

I have missed my aunt Elaine ever since my mom Audrey passed away. She will be sorely missed, I am sure I will see her in heaven.
