Obituary
Marie Antoniette (Boginski) De Merle
Marie Antoniette (Boginski) De Merle, 92, went home to the Lord on December 25, 2025.
She was born February 2, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan to Mary and Casimer Boginski. She graduated from Madison High School in 1950 and worked as a secretary for Chrysler Automotive in Detriot for 5 years. She married the love of her life, Willard J. De Merle, Jr on October 19, 1957 and together they raised 4 children; Anthony (Carol), Thomas (Theresa), Joseph (Kathleen) De Merle, and Mary (Christopher) Schams.
Marie took great pride in being a homemaker. She owned a small business, Cakes by Marie Antoinette, for 10 years and enjoyed baking and decorating beautiful, one of a kind cakes for weddings and other special celebrations. She also loved working at a church daycare taking care of children of young mothers who were working to complete their high school education.
A devout Catholic, Marie found great joy in volunteering at the National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica in Royal Oak, Michigan. She made many wonderful friends through bible studies, rosary groups and the Love of God Community. She volunteered at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen in Detroit, was a huge advocate for the sanctity of life and prayed unceasingly for blessings on all children. She truly enjoyed her time spent with her Out to Lunch Bunch friends and kept them all close in her heart when she moved to Wisconsin. She lived her life with extraordinary faith, praying for vocations and the many petitions of family and friends.
Marie enjoyed gardening and crafting. Flowers always brought a smile to her face, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Her family has no doubt that her husband, brother, sisters, daughter, family and friends were all there to celebrate and greet her at the gates of heaven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the spring at the National Shrine in Royal Oak, MI. The family sincerely appreciates the great kindness and care provided by Eagle Crest North and Moments Hospice.

All our sympathies to Marie’s loving family. She was such a dear lady with a big heart and a quick wit! Marie is dearly missed by her friends at Eagle Crest. Prayers of peace and love to Mary and her family from Lois and family.
