Sari Salisbury, age 89, died in La Crosse, WI on Monday, December 22nd. She was born Sarah Jane Steele and known as Sally to many of her friends. Sari loved mischief, nature, travel, art, social justice, and other people. She attended Lawrence University in Appleton, WI; received a Master’s Degree in Biology at UW-Madison; and spent her career as a public health educator. She had recently returned to La Crosse after living in Durango, CO for 25 years, where she was a beloved member of the community.

Sari is survived by her children Tim Schaldach, David Schaldach, Jim Schaldach, John Schaldach, and Beth Schaldach; and her grandchildren, Emily Schaldach, Bex Schaldach, Sadie Cavanagh Schaldach, and Tai Walker.

There will be a celebration of life at the Durango Dharma Center on January 24th at 1:00 pm, and a memorial in La Crosse in the coming months. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to www.durangodharmacenter.org.
