Rodney Blake Everson
Rodney B. Everson, 74, of Onalaska, Wis, passed away on April 9th, 2026, in his home.
Rodney was born on April 27th, 1951, at Grandview Hospital in La Crosse, Wis, to Lawrence and Aldoris (Bergum) Everson. He graduated from Melrose-Mindoro High School in 1969. He was employed by Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad for 43 years and retired in 2011.
Rodney enjoyed watching sports, especially the Milwaukee Brewers, the Milwaukee Bucks, the Green Bay Packers and the Wisconsin Badgers. Over the years, he also loved to travel, specifically to Cocoa Beach, Florida, and many road trips all over the country. He also spent many happy hours socializing with friends at The Wharf.
Rodney is survived by his daughter Kimberly (Mark) Hildreth, daughter-in-law, Jessica Everson, brothers Greg (Suzie) and Tom, and sister Rachel (Joan), sister-in-law Nancy, former wife Ann Everson and grandchildren Maddy (Craig), Noah, Avery, Cameron, Maxton, Zoie, Isaac, Asher, and five nieces and one nephew. He was proceeded in death by his parents, brother Carl, twin brother Roger and son Ben.
A service to celebrate Rodney’s life will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at The Gathering Place, 133 Mason St, in Onalaska.
Visitation is from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. with a service at 2:00 p.m., with a reception to follow.
