Duane Martin Vetsch Jr

Duane Martin Vetsch Jr was born on March 7, 1968 in Onalaska, WI.

Following his high school graduation, he joined the U.S. Army, where he served for twenty years, including deployments to various countries and combat roles in both Persian Gulf Wars.

During high school, Duane met Sherri Alseth, with whom he shared a loving relationship for 34 years until her passing in March 2021. Duane held various positions before and after his military service, eventually retiring early from Great Lakes Cheese to spend more time with Sherri.

In August 2021, while working as a sponsor agent for NASCAR at Tomah Sparta Speedway, Duane met Jennifer, his partner in life for the next five years until his unexpected passing on May 13, 2026.

He is survived by his father, Duane Vetsch Sr., his sister Annalisa (Stephen) Scott, his nephew Brandon (Lisa) Stearns, and their children Sabatian, Braden, Jayden, Camden, and Nevaeh, as well as his nephew Austin Stearns, and many other nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Rita Vetsch, his wife, Sherri Alseth, several aunts, uncles, and his grandparents.

Visitation will take place at 10am at Shepherd of the Hills, followed by a service at 11am. Interment will be at 1:30pm at Oakland Cemetery in Dresbach, MN.
