Obituary
Bonnie J. (Armoto) Rolff
Bonnie spent most of her childhood in the Victory/ DeSoto area. On October 6, 1962, she married Darold (Fred) Rolff. The earlier years of their marriage were spent traveling as Darold’s job building water towers and tanks took them to several states. They later operated a dairy farm until 1985 in the Red Mound, WI area. They then moved to Texas to be closer to her sister, Judy. Afterward, they moved to Viroqua, WI. and eventually to the LaCosse / West Salem area where Bonnie worked at LaCosse Footwear and Kwik Trip Bakery. In her years just prior to retirement, Bonnie became known as the “Banana Mama” as she peeled bananas for Kwik Trip’s banana bread and bars. Bonnie won multiple safety awards during her time at Kwik Trip Bakery.

Bonnie loved to read. She could finish a novel in one day. She enjoyed taking all her grandchildren fishing often. Her weekly highlights were going to BINGO every Tuesday and Thursday night. She had a proud smile on her face when her daughters and grandchildren would join her. She also loved playing poker with family and friends. These poker games would last for hours. There was seriousness most of the time, but uncontrollable laughter would erupt also. Let’s not forget about the casino trips either. In her eyes you “won” if you walked out with any amount of money. Although, she would never reveal how much money she actually put into the slots. She was a big Chicago Cubs fan and for her sister’s sake, she tolerated the Texas Rangers. She was a Packers football fan. Some of Bonnie’s favorite things were watching sci-fi, going to a Friday night fish fry, going out to breakfast for a “good” pancake and “crispy” bacon. Funnel cakes were in the lineup of favorites along with Little Debbie snacks. She was a lover of all things chocolate. Bonnie had a great sense of humor. She will be missed by family and friends.
