Obituary
Anthony “Tony” Parkison
In Loving Memory of Anthony “Tony” Parkison
Anthony “Tony” Parkison, of Onalaska, WI, passed away peacefully on August 3rd, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by the love of his family.
Tony was a devoted husband, loving father, and a man of quiet strength. He shared a deep and enduring love with his wife, Jessica, and his greatest joy was the life they built together.
Music was at the heart of who Tony was. A gifted composer, he wrote beautiful music that expressed what words often could not. Drumming was once his greatest passion, but his musical talent extended to nearly every instrument he picked up. Creating music wasn’t just something he did; it was part of who he was. He also loved attending concerts, where he could experience the music that inspired him.
Tony was thoughtful and introspective, always searching for life’s deeper meaning. He loved to read, with Stephen King being his favorite author, and enjoyed horror and psychological thrillers that made him think. He found satisfaction in landscaping and home remodeling, taking great pride in every project and always striving to do his very best.
He found peace in nature. Whether he was working in the yard, landscaping, hiking a trail, or simply taking in the quiet beauty of the world around him, nature was where Tony felt most at home. He appreciated life’s simple moments and found joy in slowing down to enjoy them.
Tony was an introvert by nature and preferred a quiet life. He didn’t seek the spotlight or a large social circle, but he was never afraid to speak his mind. A realist at heart, Tony believed in looking at things honestly and saying what he thought. He enjoyed a good debate and loved exploring different perspectives, challenging ideas, and having conversations about almost any topic. His strong opinions came from his curiosity, his intelligence, and his desire to understand the world around him. Those who knew him appreciated his honesty, his authenticity, and the conviction with which he stood by what he believed.
His happiest moments were spent at home with Jessica, Dom, and their beloved dogs. Whether it was watching movies together, building a world in Minecraft with Dom, attending concerts, or simply enjoying a quiet evening at home, those everyday moments meant the most to him. Those fortunate enough to know him beyond his reserved exterior discovered a compassionate, loyal, and deeply loving man who would do anything for the people he cared about.
One of the greatest joys of Tony’s life was becoming Dom’s dad. He embraced fatherhood with his whole heart, and Dom changed his life in ways words cannot fully express. Tony was proud to be his father, proud to watch him grow, and grateful for every ordinary moment they shared.
Their bond was built on unconditional love, unwavering commitment, shared adventures, and countless memories that will live on forever. No matter what challenges came later, nothing could ever change the place Dom held in his heart.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jessica; his cherished son, Dominic (“Dom”); his dogs, Gabi and Creek; and his family, who will forever treasure the memories they shared with him.
Tony’s legacy lives on through the music he created, the love he gave, and the example he set through his kindness, humility, curiosity, and quiet strength. Though cancer changed so much in his final years, it never defined the man he was. He will be remembered as the gifted musician, devoted husband, proud father, deep thinker, and fiercely authentic man whose greatest masterpieces were not only the music he composed, but the family he loved so deeply.
He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. A private gathering will be held at a later date. Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
