November 5, 2026 | 1 comment

Rebecca “Becky” Lynn McNulty, born on December 31, 1950, in Black River Falls, Wisconsin, passed away on November 2, 2026, peacefully at home after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Becky touched the lives of many with her warmth, humor, and unwavering kindness. Becky was the cherished daughter of the late Tom and Shirley McNulty and the sister to Mike (Karen) McNulty, Joe McNulty, and Brian McNulty.

She is reunited in peace with her children Jana and Derek Nelson, her parents, and brother Brian.

She leaves behind her loving children: Jeremy (Christine) McNulty, Keely Nelson, and Sara (Ben) Sykora, and her adored grandchildren: Jacob, Molly (Dylan), Alex, Roman, and Maggie.

Becky was also a dear aunt to Amy (Dan) Murray, Angie McNulty, Jolene (Jody) Chase, and Trevor (Mariah) McNulty. Her extended family includes many close friends whom she cherished deeply and held dear to her heart.

For 26 years, Becky dedicated herself to her work at Jackson County Human Services, where she made a lasting impact on her community through her compassion and commitment to helping others. Outside of work, Becky found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a passion for crocheting and knitting, creating beautiful pieces for her family and friends. Some of her happiest moments were spent cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events, where her infectious enthusiasm was always on display.

Family gatherings were special to Becky, and she enjoyed making too much food and having people gather at her house to eat and catch up. Gatherings with cousins, aunts, and uncles were also something Becky never forgot and had many stories of Sundays at Grandma and Grandpas house.

Known for her expressive personality, Becky could light up any room with her facial expressions and had an uncanny ability to trace anyone’s family tree while telling you a story about them.

She loved to find new recipes and try making them, to dance, being known for her two-stepping skills and her ability to sing like Patsy Cline. Many will remember her knack for making others feel special and her genuine care for everyone she met.

Becky’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Emplify Health and Emplify Hospice for their compassionate care and support during her cancer journey. Their kindness brought comfort to Becky and her family in her final days. Becky will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

A visitation for Becky will be Saturday, November 21, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with donuts and coffee at The Gathering Place, 133 Mason St. Onalaska, WI 54650.

Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family with arrangements.

This woman always accepted me into her home and fed me and gave me hard advice. I always thought she knew I didn’t really fit in but let Sara keep bringing me around and I am so greatful for her and Sara for always being so kind to me.
