Jody Ann Betz, 64, of La Crosse passed away peacefully on July 3, 2015 at Mayo Health System after a long battle from cancer, with her family by her side. She was born on September 10, 1950 to Merl and Marcella Houlihan in Caledonia, MN.  They moved to La Crosse as a young girl and she was a graduate of Logan High School.

She is survived by her children, Daniel (Dawn) Vinson, Michelle (Lori Ehlo) Betz, and Dawn (Bill Veley) Betz.  Her grandchildren, Destiny Vinson, Stephanie Clements, Isaac Betz-Ehlo, Madyson Betz-Ehlo and Zoe Johnson. She is also survived by 3 nieces, Cassandra Houlihan, Sally (Rod) Hamilton, and Christina Houlihan. As well as her best friend whom she loved dearly, Joyce Olloff. She is preceded in death by her dad Merl, mom Marcella and her brother Randall Houlihan.

Above all else, her grandkids were her pride and joy.  Their laughter, their accomplishments, and their contagious smiles were the things she cherished the most.  Jody lived a quiet life but made an impact which was felt by many and she will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank Dr. Forbes and the staff on 7^th floor at Mayo Hospital for their respectful care and our dear family friend, Penny Smith; who was constantly by her side.

A celebration of life for Jody will be announced at a later date.
