Sharon Alice (Taylor) Herried, 70, of Ettrick, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2015 at her home.  She was born on June 21, 1945 to Rossleyn and Rose Van Riper.  She married Leonard Herried.

Sharon enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening, rock collecting, and canning.  Before losing her hand she enjoyed knitting, embroidery, and sewing.  Sharon loved having fun with friends and family and telling childhood stories.

She is survived by her husband, Leonard; children, Jeff Davis, Rob Davis, Wanda Rodriguez; grandchildren, Ashley Davis, Nicole and Sarah Davis, Austin and Jordan Rodriguez; sister Gladys Lancaster; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rossleyn Van Riper, Rose Powers; brothers, Roy, Richard, Russell and Ronald Van Riper; sisters, Alice Newman, Delores Richard, Francis Doeling, Mary Brenengen, Mertyle Jerome, and Irene Thompson.

The family would like to thank Black River Falls Hospice for all their support during this difficult time.

Per her request a celebration of life will take place at 1 PM on Saturday, September 5 at Corner Pub in Ettrick.
