Kenneth Ben Mc Connell
Kenneth Ben Mc Connell, 83, of Ettrick, WI, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2015 in his home. He was born on April 26, 1932 to Cora and Angus Mc Connell. He married Gerry Ray on December 24, 1951 in Enid, Oklahoma.
Ken retired from from the US Air Force with the rank of Chief Master Sergeant after 24 years. He worked at Ashley Furniture as a Co-Plant Engineer and also owned his own electronics business. Ken was a member of the Lions Club in Anchorage, Alaska. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking, reading, traveling, playing cards, and most of all enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Ken is survived by his wife, Gerry Mc Connell; children, Ken (Carol) Mc Connell, Debra (Jim) Thomas, Penny (Greg) Stetzer, Cindy Mc Connell, Tammy (Harold) Troxler, Brian (Lynn) Mc Connell, Shawn (Beth) Mc Connell; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is further survived by his brothers and sisters, Shirley, Helen, Linda, Lonnie, Jim, Gene, Jackie, and Daniel.
He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Mc Connell; parents, Angus (Cora) Mc Connell; great grandson, Isaac; brother, Roy; and sisters, Barbara and Bonnie.
Gerry would like to thank her children, family, and friends, for all of their love and support during this time.
A celebration of Ken’s life will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Coulee Region Cremation Group, 133 Mason Street, Onalaska, with military honors concluding the celebration at 5:00 PM.
