Sandra “Sandy” D. Howe
Sandra “Sandy” D. Howe (Hubert), 65, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 26, 2015 at Gundersen Lutheran in La Crosse and was surrounded by family members.
Sandy was born on October 18, 1950 to Richard (Pat) Hubert and Joyce (Stan “Dugan”) Revels. She graduated from Logan High School in 1968. She married Ken Howe on May 10, 1969. Together they worked to establish Five Star Concrete and Howe Concrete Construction. They owned and managed Onalaska Inn and Shadow Run Motel in Onalaska from 1985 to 1996. They worked hard and enjoyed life together.
Sandy loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed traveling. She loved her Harley and adored going for rides with friends. She lived in the Holmen and Onalaska area, but in the winter, she called Land O’ Lakes, Florida home and established a wonderful circle of friends there.
To her family and friends Sandy was always thoughtful and treated them with care and love. She was very proud of her three sons and loved her daughter-in laws. Her five grandkids were her greatest gift in life. To her brothers and sisters and their families, she was their center, always there to care for them, and kept them a close-knit family. Sandy always made her friends a part of her family. She will truly be missed by all.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Ken Howe; her three sons, Jeff Howe (Deb Hoeth), Dean (Kris) Howe, and Nick (Nikki) Howe; five grandchildren, Savannah Howe, Jaden Howe, Kym Howe, Giana Howe, and Brinley Howe; her brothers, Randy (Jean) Hubert, Jimmie (Janel) Hubert, and Stan (Patty) Revels; her sisters, Debbie (Paul) Hubert-Roellich, Tammy Hubert, Robin Shilling, and Teri Stitt; her dog, Nellie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews; other relatives and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joyce (Dugan) Revels, Richard (Pat) Hubert; her brother, Rod Hubert; nephews, Justin Hubert and Tanner Shilling, as well as her beloved dog Nessie.
A funeral mass is scheduled for 11:00 am on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church, 515 North Main St., Holmen with a visitation one hour prior to mass at the church.
