Susan Jane Haase, born January 25, 1947 in La Crosse, WI, graduate of Central High School in 1965 and graduate of WWTI in 1967.

She retired in 2009 after 42 years of service to Gateway Area Boy Scout Council. Sue passed away quietly on March 22, 2011 after a brief illness.

Preceded in death by her parents, Carl J. and Marine S. Haase. She is survived by her loved siblings: Lois Lintelman (Don), Carol Kurtz, Joanne Dean, Jack Haase (Ann) and Richard Haase (Barbara). Nephews and nieces: David Lintelman (Sherry), Steven Lintelman, Kevin Lintelman (JoAnn), Jeff Lintelman (Galina), Larry Lintelman, Brenda Murray (Albin), Eric Lintelman (Melody), Diane Haase (Jenny), Brian Kurtz (Debbie), Tim Kurtz, Johanna Deffenderfer (Mike), Jane McGinty (Chris), Marc Haase, Ashden Haase and Bryce Haase. She is also survived by 15 grand nieces and nephews and her extended Boy Scout family.

A memorial service is being held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the First Congregational Church followed by a campfire vigil at Boy Scout’s Camp Decorah Council Firebowl at 4PM.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Sue’s memory to Gateway Area Boy Scout Council or charity of your choice.
