Robert “Bob” Otto Ziebell, of Onalaska, 63, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse.

He was born on January 16, 1948 to Ernest and Ina (Taylor) Ziebell. Bob married Paula Chatten on June 20, 1998 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in La Crosse.

 

Bob enjoyed wood working, painting, and life in general. He worked for Northern Engraving for 38 years.

 

Bob is survived by his wife; son, Ryan Ziebell; grandson, Cole Ziebell; step-son, Mark Carr; 2 sisters, Ian Sherry, Jeanette Chase; brother, Rev. Raymond (Bernice) Ziebell; many nieces, nephews and friends.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents.

 

The family would like to thank the care providers, nurses and hospice staff of Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center that took care of Bob.

 

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 2:00PM at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1201 Avon St., La Crosse. Rev. Mark Rieke will officiate with interment at Onalaska City Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:30 PM until the service at the church. Coulee Region Cremation Group at www.couleecremation.com is assisting the family.
