Gerald Hart Wilson, 77, of Trempealeau, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 2, 2018 in his home. He was born on December 8, 1940. He married Penny Owens on June 25, 1988 in Aurora, IL.

Affectionately nicknamed Running Bare. He loved watching baseball and football, playing solitaire, and checking out Facebook to see what everyone was up too. He always had his own version of what he had read and loved to tell anyone who would listen. He could be found feeding and watching the birds and his pet squirrel, whom he named Buster. It didn’t matter if you were his biological family, Jerry built his family on love and making his family huge.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Penny; daughters, Sherry (Chris) Spinelli, Mary Wilson Salazar, Denise (Paul) Fletcher; sons, Bob (Michelle) Pendzinski, Kevin (Mandy) Wilson, Jerry Wilson, Trevor Wilson, Donnie Davis; 30 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; best friend, Don Owens; and his first wife and lifelong friend, Irma Heintz; a large number of loving nieces and nephews; and special sister-in-law, Irina, and the rest of our Russian family. He was preceded in death by his parents and 8 brothers and sisters.

    Our Dearest Penny,

All of us are deeply saddened by the loss of our Jerry- the kindest person and your beloved husband. A good heart has stopped beating and in these moment of loss, words are useless because they cannot express our sorrow and ease the pain of this great loss.

Jerry’s wonderful and gentle soul will forever remain in our hearts. I remember all good time we spend together, I remember Jerry’s caring personality, wonderful sense of humor and contagious laugh. As I told you, no one would replace our Jerry. But our Jerry is resting in peace and this should give us the strength to bear the great pain.
In this sorrowful time, we should stick together. I offer my most heartfelt condolences and well-wishes during this dark time in your life. We will be here for you at any time, please stay in touch and do not isolate yourself. Remember that our door is always open for you. I hope you will be comforted at least a little by the outpouring of Love surrounding you. Jerry’s fond memories will be always alive!

Love you so much, my dear Sister-in-Law,
    Irina with Warmest Wishes

Dear Penny, I’m saddened to see Jerry no longer with us. He seemed like a very high spirited man with a lot of fire and love in his soul, not to forget a lot of spitfire wit 🙂 Your family is so blessed to have such a loving soul surrounding you. Although you may not see him, you will remain to feel his presence of love and memories of happiness, that will never slip thru your fingers. God bless Penny. Thinking of the both of you, love Dani.
