Helen “Babe” M. Brown, 90, of La Crosse passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Bethany St. Joseph Care Center in La Crosse. She was born on February 15, 1928 to William and Leona Spah. She was married to Edward J. Brown.

Helen was a factory worker most of her life.  In her spare time, she liked to watch the Packers and the Brewers and loved to gamble, but her real passion was bingo. She could play 15 cards at once and still had time to let you know when you were missing one.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda (George) Italiano and Cheryl Melde (William); son, Bryan (Rochelle) Brown; grandchildren, Jennifer (Fritz), Jamie (Cassey), Maria (Tari), and Anthony (Deb); great-grandchildren, Savannah, James, Elijah, and Gabriel; sisters, Phyllis, Sandy, Ginger, and Nancy; brother, Mike; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; her parents; her brother, Jim; and her sister, Mary.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Bethany St. Joseph for their care. Per her wishes, there will be no service.
