Robert “Bob” J. Clements
Robert “Bob” Joseph Clements, 73, of West Salem, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 27, 2011
at Bethany St. Joseph Care Center with his loving wife Eunice of 22 years, his mother-in-law Millie Miller, brother and sister-in-law Jerry and Sandy Miller and Jean Kronebusch by his side. He was born on January 2, 1938 to Hilton and Lorene (Nix) Clements in Ocala, FL.
He worked for Norris Industries in California before moving to Wisconsin. He retired from Webster Industries in Bangor, WI in 2000. He loved family gatherings, especially Thanksgiving. He loved wood working and working on his home. He loved sitting on his porch and smoking his pipe and feeding the raccoons and birds. He enjoyed fishing with Roger Miller and Scott Johnson and his grandchildren. He loved playing cards with Lisa Swan, Sue Bilskemper, and Kristin Gonia-Larkin, Jerry and Sandy Miller, Galen and Marianne Pittman, and Millie Miller. He loved Lottery scatch offs and going to the casino with Ernie Elsen.
Bob is survived by his wife, Eunice; children, Mark (Bonnie) Knapp, David (Adriana) Clements, Brian (Kathryn Robinson) Clements, Tammi (Charlie) Cull, Edward (Stephanie) Swanson; grandchildren, Melissa (Jesse) Burns, Alexandria Cull, Brandt Cull, Ciarra Cull, Ashtyn Cull, Bennett Cull, Camden Cull, Brooke Swanson, Edward Swanson and Jessica Swanson; 4 great-grandchildren; cousin, Doby; and many relatives and friends, especially Jerry and Sissy Bonner.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and grandparents.
The family would like to thank the caring staff at Bethany St. Joseph Care Center and all who called, visited or sent cards. He really appreciated his neighbors Richard and Sharon Friet and Ron Rask for helping when he fell at home and needed help getting back on his feet. A special thanks to Pastor Bruce Iverson for the visits to Bethany St. Joseph Care Center and helping all of us prepare for his new home. Bob was a kind and gentle man and will be missed dearly.
Respecting his wishes, there will be no funeral. There will be a celebration of his life at his home on Friday, November 4, 2011 from 5-8 pm. Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family. Online condolences may be left at www.couleecremation.com.
