Joseph “Joe” R. Lang, 68, of Onalaska, died peacefully by family on Monday, January 2, 2012 in his home.

He was born October 8, 1943 to George and Mary Lang. Joe married Roberta “Bobbi”Boyle on October 12, 1968 in Chicago, Ill

 

Joe was a veteran of the US Army from 1965 to 1967, he had a passion for model railroading, and was always there to lend a helping hand.

 

Joe is survived by his wife; brother, Tim (Nancy) Lang; nephew, Chris Lang, niece, Kelly Wigdal; great-nephews; great- nieces; special friend, Shevaun Jungbluth; and other family and friends.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents.

 

Joe’s family would like to thank the dialysis unit, the cancer center, the 7^th floor nurses and staff, hospice, and all of the physicians who cared for Joe at Mayo Clinic Health System.

 

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2012 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the American Legion Post 336, 731 Sand Lake Rd, Onalaska. Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family at www.couleecremation.com.
