David Duane Thompson, 63, of La Crosse, died unexpectedly Friday, March 9, 2012 in his home.

He was born July 30, 1948 to Lloyd and Hilda Thompson.

 

David enjoyed working at Fayzee’s Restaurant, watching the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Cubs, and mostly spending time with his nieces and nephews. David was a giving and charitable person and will be greatly missed.

 

David is survived by his family friends, Millie Hedum; Melissa (Scott) Hintz and their children, Josephine, Jacob, Gabrielle, Lucas, Benjamin; Julie Hedum and her daughter, Bailey; Kathy (Mark) Payette and their children, Megan, Matthew, Michelle, Max; 1 brother, 3 sisters and many friends.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers.

 

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 11:00 am at River of Life Assembly of God Church, 1214 County Rd Ph. Pastor Jeff Thomson will officiate. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.  Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
