Dennis A. Correll
Dennis A. Correll, 69, passed away surrounded by family and friends on December 27, 2012 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse. He was born to Jack L. Correll and Beverly (Clementz) Correll in Ashland County Wisconsin August 30, 1943.
He graduated from Eau Claire Memorial High School 1961. He served four years in the US Air Force, worked as an Air Traffic Controller in Michigan and La Crosse, Wisconsin. He later worked at Dairyland Power and the last 14 years at WalMart Garden Center. He retired in 2010.
He is survived by his significant other, Suellyn Colbert; children, Dawn Schubert (Rob Kos) of Milwaukee, Jeff Correll (Natalie) of West Wickham, Kent United Kingdom, Renee Zeller (Greg) of Holmen, Tom Colbert (Jill) of La Crescent; grandchildren, Emma and Jack Schubert, Samuel Correll and another grandchild due in July, Jennifer and Ashley Buchner, Kyle Colbert; step-grandchildren, Sam and Sarah Kratt; best friends, Rod and Barb Newhouse, Barry and Cheryl Bertsch, L David Sprosten (Sprocket), Ken Hotz, Jim and Jo Seever and Pat and Julie Toske; other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Dennis loved spending time at his cabin hunting and spending time with granchildren, family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
Dear Correll family,
I am sorry about your loss. I remember Dennis when we lived in the same apartment building on Hobart St in Eau Claire when we were kids. He used to let me go with him on his paper route (He was a hard worker). His mother Beverly and my mother were friends(Hazel Klungseth). Brings back memories.
