Obituary
Albert “Skip” George Keller
Albert “Skip” George Keller left us peacefully and with family by his side, at the age of 86 on July 15, 2025. Born on June 28, 1939, in Burlington, Illinois, to Albert and Virginia Keller, Skip lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Joan (London), and their children: Brenda (Chuck) Burmeister and Renee (Karl) Bakken. He was preceded in death by his beloved child, Randy, whose memory will always hold a special place in our hearts. Skip had four grandchildren who made him very proud: Trace, Brandon, Ella and Jack. They enjoyed their visits with their Grandpa Skip and were always ready for his great sense of humor and fun.
Skip was the oldest of his four siblings: Marcia (David) Dieckman, Karla (Roger) Thrun, Roger (Donna) Keller, and Donna (Mike) Block, and shared a deep bond with each of them throughout his life and they will miss him dearly.
A man of great integrity and kindness, Skip was known for his unwavering support and love for his family. He had a passion for everything related to classic cars, Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, antiques and collectibles. He enjoyed bowling, slow-pitch softball, playing pool, gardening, Chevrolets and collecting (maybe too much!) and he was determined and able to fix anything that broke! His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Skip brought fun and laughter to those who were lucky enough to know him. He will be remembered for his classic Chevy cars, chewing on cigars, friendly hellos and the fun he brought to almost any occasion. Skip’s last words were “needs more chocolate” in reference to his final Culver’s hot fudge malt.
A funeral mass will be held to honor Skip’s life on August 8, 2025, at noon at St Phillip’s Catholic Church in Rolling Ground, WI, with a luncheon to follow. Friends and family are invited to come celebrate Skip’s memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Gunderson/Emplify Hospice or to St. Phillips Cemetery Association.
Skip was a son, husband, brother, father and friend. He will be dearly missed but will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Rest in peace.

Beautiful obituary. What a special person. Condolences to all of the family and friends.
I loved every minute of working with him. We had so many gut busting laughs, and I really enjoyed making his “special coffee,” which was just coffee and hot chocolate. I will miss him saying “How ya doing, Red?” I feel honored to share in making lasting memories with him and Joan. I will never forget the shock I experienced when he called me by my first name. I’m gonna miss him a lot!
Joan and family…so sorry to hear of Skips passing…He was quite the character and I loved working with him…him whistling to the birds and his great big smile and then the laugh…
RIP Skip 💛

Very sad news for sure.
Our Uncle Skip was always a bright light in our childhood upbringing. His quick wit and good natured fun loving demeanor were nothing short of terrific. I have so many great memories of weekend dinners together at Grandma and Grandpa London’s. And of course deer hunting endeavors…
We hold these memories precious and will never forget them or our Uncle Skip.
God hold bless him and hold him close, just as we have.
