Albert Walter Coudrey

Albert Walter Coudrey, 73, of Onalaska, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2014 in Hillview Health Care Center in La Crosse. He was born on February 16, 1941 to Elizabeth and Floyd Coudrey. He married Donna Mae Larson August 17, 1974 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church.

Albert was an avid woodworker. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and having breakfast with his friends. Albert graduated from Central High School in 1959. He served in the US Army for 2 years. He was a member of the Onalaska American Legion Post 336. He was a supervisor for Valley Farm Supply, Artmar, Ed Phillips and Sons before becoming a custodian for the School District of La Crosse.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Coudrey; daughter, Schaarie (John) Lawless; son, Michael (Gina) McCaffrey; grandchildren, Tyler, Ashley and Colin McCaffrey; special friends, Kevin, Virginia and Shawnna Clark; numerous brother and sister-in-laws, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; step-father; and sister, Beth Brague.

 

A celebration of life will be held from 10:00 am to Noon on Thursday, May 22nd, 2014 at the Coulee Region Cremation Group and Funeral Home, 133 Mason St., Onalaska. Interment will be held at Mormon Coulee Memorial Park with military honors will be provided by the Onalaska Americal Legion Post 336.

    Please accept my condolences. I worked with Al at Ed Phillips and he was a good guy with a good sense of humor. I was only 18 at the time and he treated with me with respect. I will keep good memories of Al – RIP.

    Sorry Donna , but I didn’t see this until a few days ago. Al was a nice guy and I enjoyed working with him at Artmar. Too bad we didn’t get together these past few years.
