Babette (Betsy) E. Ferris, 58 of West Salem died Thursday, July 17^th , 2014 at Mayo Health System in La Crosse. She was born in Black River Falls, WI to Mary (Federman) and Steve Gile on February 25, 1956.

She grew up and lived in the Black River Falls and Cataract area and attended Black River Falls High School. She spent 20 years living in Arizona with here late husband Nick Santucci, but moved back to Wisconsin in recent years.

Betsy loved spending time with her family, listening and dancing to music, boating, growing bonsai trees, sewing, and art – she was a talented artist.

She is survived by her husband, Harvey Ferris; 6 sisters, Elly (Keith) Poppe of Tremplealeau, WI, Pat (Jess) Sackett of Rockland, WI, Ann (Joe Sanders) Gile of Cataract, WI, Tammy (John) Bingham of Cataract, WI, Barb (Jim Hatlan) Czarnik of Ferryville, WI, and Diane Januesheske of Hayward, WI; 2 brothers, Mike (Rhonda) Flick, Sparta, WI and Danny (Jackie) Gaulke, Hixton, WI, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Hammon and Steve Gile and former husband, Nick Santucci.

She is gone too soon and her passing has left a whole in her family’s collective heart.  She will be dearly missed.  Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
