Obituary
Barry Scott Fagan
Barry Scott Fagan, 60, of La Crosse, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2015 at his home. He was born on August 1, 1955 to William and Violet Fagan. He married Collette Lash on April 17, 1976 in La Crosse, WI.
Barry acquired a degree in welding and fabrication from WTC, working for 25 years at La Crosse River Steel Co. and retired from Pa-Cal in 2013. Barry was a quiet man, a loving husband and father, whose grandchildren, starting with oldest, Matthew, meant the world to him. He was a man who would help anyone in need and never speak a word about it. Being well read, he had a range of interests including the scriptures, politics, history, and sports. He was, to those who were close to him, an amazing trivia expert. He also loved working with wood and anything having to do with his home.
His long struggle with cancer is over now. We admire you, Barry, for your strength and courage through the years. We love you and know you’ll save a place for us when the Heavens call our names.
Barry is survived by his wife, Collette; sons, William (Patience Renning), Eddy (Amanda Hartley); grandchildren Matthew, Kullen, Mannuel, Makenzie, Hendrix, and Haley; siblings, Mike Fagan, Dan (Betty) Fagan, Jeff (Judy) Fagan, Melinda Fagan, Kelly Fagan; sister in law, Diane; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, David, Pat; and sister, Barb.
The family would like to thank Gundersen Health System hospice, nurses, doctors, and Chaplain Allen. The family would also like to thank Jackie Alton for her loving support and for all the calls, cards, and additional condolences.
