Obituary

Beth Ann Hendricks nee Schoeneman

May 11, 2012

Beth Ann Schoeneman Hendricks, 52, of Sparta died on May 10, 2012.

She is survived by her loving husband, John, and two sons, Tyler, of Sparta, and Anders, and his special girlfriend Kahla Kroening, of Milwaukee, as well as in-laws Jim and Nyna of Niagara. Her siblings include Mary Jo (Al) Karnath of Menomonee Falls, Tom Schoeneman of Wausau, Paul Schoeneman of Sun Prairie, and Joe (Karen) Schoeneman of Oregon. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Katherine Schoeneman. Her life was blessed by having a wonderful family of in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Beth Ann enjoyed working with wonderful colleagues and students at Onalaska High School and Bangor High School. She was especially glad to be included in two book clubs, and had great times with extended families of book club members. She also belonged to the Knit-Wit knitting group and the Tilling Thyme Garden Club of Sparta. In recent years, she and John, along with their dogs Bo and Joy, enjoyed establishing the Bad Ass Sheep Farm where they raised sheep, chickens, turkeys, and bees. Beth Ann also loved to cheer on the Badgers, Packers, Bangor Cardinals and Sparta Spartans. Her family is very grateful to the staff of Gundersen Lutheran for their skill and compassion, particularly Doctors Oettel, Jumonville, Johnson, and Sallaway; Eileen Williams, and all of the staff in the Radiology Department. Friends and colleagues are invited to share time with Beth Ann’s family on Saturday, May 19, from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm at Jake’s Northwoods Restaurant in Sparta. One of Beth Ann’s joys were “Bonus Jeans Days” at BHS. In honor of this, guests are encouraged to dress casually on May 19. The family requests that memorials be directed to the Gundersen Lutheran Foundation for lung cancer research and the Bangor High School Scholarship Fund. Beth Ann’s family will be forever grateful for the support of her dear and faithful friends, especially during the last few weeks. Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
