Betty A. Borsheim

We are saddened to announce the loss of our dear wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Betty Ann Borsheim, 91, of French Island, La Crosse, WI.

Betty passed away at Brookdale Senior Living on December 21 with her husband by her side. She was born on November 20, 1934, to Raymond and Marian (Nerby) Pierce.

She married Alcurtis Borsheim on December 6, 1952. Betty was a hard-working housewife and accounts manager for Al’s construction company for many years. She enjoyed Tennis, playing cards, bowling for the Misfits at South Lanes in La Crosse
(where she bowled 616 for her first honor count) and dancing with Al at the Moose Lodge. She especially enjoyed getting together with her Lunch Bunch every Friday, and vacations with her husband.

Betty is survived by her husband, Al; sons, Curtis (Karen) and Michael (Connie); grandchildren, Taylor, Kyle (Kim), Kirsten (Eric), Andrew, and Allison; great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Aiden; sister in-law, May; brothers in-law Donovan, Ken (Carol), Ray Bjerken, and Bob Henry; and many nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lois Bjerken and Mary Henry; sister-in-law, Rosie Borsheim; and brother-in-law, Gerald Borsheim.

Betty’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff of Brookdale Senior living and Hospice for the excellent and loving care that they provided for Betty during her stay.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Trinity Lutheran Church in La Crosse, WI. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 am to the time of the services on Friday. There will be a luncheon served afterward at the church.

    I will miss Betty so much. We have been friends for over 50 years. I am glad she is no longer suffering. I so wish I could be there for her service, hugs Al.

    We will miss our friend and neighbor, Betty. Theresa, Betty and I enjoyed our annual Birthday lunch for many years and she and Al were faithful members of Trinity. She was a sweet and humble lady. God Bless you, Betty.
