Brian Michael Vaughn
Brian Michael Vaughn, 57, of West Salem, passed away April 5, 2015 at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse. He was born October 29, 1957 to Michael and Kathleen (Clumpner) Vaughn.
Brian was a graduate of West Salem High School and the University of Stevens Point. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, art, and music. He was the Director of Cartography at Fishing Hotspots and later became a teacher at Nicolet College in Rhinelander.
He is survived by his children, Chase (Annie), Cody; grandson, Colin; steptmother ruth joann, siblings, Eric (Lynda), David (Teri), Kelly (Wendy), Kimberly Wiebke (Shawn); stepsister shellee mierow,stepbrother brad jenks (kim), 8 nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Coulee Region Cremation Group, 133 Mason St., Onalaska with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Corey Sateren will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Kicking Bear Ministry of West Salem or the Nicolet College Scholarship Fund.
Brian lived a full life and accomplished a lot of things. Sad to see him go so young. Godspeed Brian.
I have many good memories of visiting the Vaughn’s on French Island and the farm near West Salem. I haven’t seen Brian since about 1974. I guess our paths never crossed since.
I’m sad to see you go so soon. Perhaps we’ll meet again later.
