Bruno Walter Mueller, 87, of Onalaska, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 12 in La Crosse, WI. He was born on January 17, 1926 to Ewald and Alma Mueller. He married Gisela Warsinski on December 28, 1957 in Berlin, Germany.

Model railroading was a great interest of Bruno’s, especially in his later years. His skill and creativity are well expressed in the expansive layout depicting his memories of Germany, including scenes from the early 40’s. He was also very active in this pursuit with his grandson, Remington. His middle years were spent building a retreat with his son in Northern Wisconsin, enjoyed by the entire family since the early 80’s.

He is survived by his wife; Gisela, son; Reinhard of Sparta, grandson; Remington, sister; Gisela Mentzel of Hildesheim, Germany, brother; Hans (Karin) of Waunakee, WI.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Ewald and Alma Mueller.

The family would like to thank the many doctors and nurses at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, especially Dr. Wayne Bottner, who treated Bruno during a very prolonged illness.
