Carrie Ann Smith (Tyler)
August 18, 1967 – October 27, 2025
Carrie Ann Smith (Tyler), age 58, of La Crosse, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025, after a courageous two-year battle with pancreatic cancer.
Carrie was born and raised in La Crosse, where she built a life centered on love, laughter, and family. She will be remembered for her generous heart, her infectious humor, and her unwavering strength. Even during the toughest times, Carrie’s compassion and giving spirit shone brightly—she always found a way to help others, even when she had little to give.
Carrie is survived by her three beloved sons, Austin, Dylan, and Logan; her devoted mother, Sharon Tyler; her brother Christopher (Evi) Tyler; and her sister Angela (Jonathan) Lee. She also leaves behind her cherished nieces and nephews—John, Tyler, Jack, Alice, and Thomas—as well as many other close family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
She is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Tyler, and other loving family members who surely welcomed her home with open arms.
Carrie loved cheering for the Milwaukee Brewers and listening to Bob Uecker on game days. She found joy and calm in diamond dots, puzzles, and cooking, and she adored her loyal dog, Sabbie, who rarely left her side.
Carrie’s family would like to give special thanks to her aunt and best friend, Linda Wieczorek, whose unwavering care and love meant the world to Carrie and to all who loved her. They would also like to extend heartfelt thanks to Buffy Brown and Wyatt Anderson for their kindness, care, and love during Carrie’s journey.
A celebration of Carrie’s life will be held at The Gathering Place, 133 Mason St., Onalaska, on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at 4:30 pm where family and friends can gather to share memories and honor her beautiful spirit. A visitation will be held prior from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm that day. Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
Carrie’s kindness, humor, and love will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her.

my condolences to the boys and family. Carrie and I were friends back in the day when we were neighbors living in Coulee Region Acres. I would watch the boys periodically, and they liked to play with my kids. you are at peace now, fly high sweet angel.
I hope she is finally resting in peace. She was cared for and will be missed. Her smile will be in my heart forever.
