Casey John MacLachlan
Casey John MacLachlan, 31, of La Crosse, died at his home on August 25, 2015. He was born in La Crosse on November 2, 1983 to John and Sue (Dixon) MacLachlan.
Casey graduated from Central High School in 2002, Western Technical College with an associate degree in graphic design in 2004, and from Viterbo University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in business management.
He worked at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse.
Casey loved to travel, visiting Italy, France, Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Colorado, and Wyoming. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, hiking, biking, and going out to eat.
Casey was a very talented artist. He enjoyed created beautiful pencil drawings, wonderful Halloween costumes, and taking beautiful photographs.
He will be remembered as a kind and caring person, someone who had a wonderful smile and a contagious laugh that brightened your day.
He is survived by his parents, John and Sue (Dixon) MacLachlan; Brother Ian (Jamie) MacLachlan and their children, Jazzlyn, Ivianna; Aunts, Nancy (Cory) Andrews, Elyn MacLachlan, Georgia (James) Duffy, Gale (Michael) Miller; furry family, Casey’s Girl Sophie, Jax, Bob the Cat; numerous cousins, and countless wonderful and loving friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Marjorie Dixon, Donald and Betty MacLachlan; and aunt, Sue Alice MacLachlan.
A celebration of Casey’s life for family and friends will be held at a later date.
Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
I didn’t know Casey as well as I would have liked to, but every time we hung out he was smart, funny, warm, and witty. A kind of guy anyone would be glad to count a friend. My heart goes out to his family members and friends. I am so lucky to have known Casey and am so sorry for your loss.
