Christopher G. Faas

Christopher George Faas, 27, of Onalaska, Passed away unexpectedly on July14, 2023 in Alaska. He was born on February 01, 1996 to John and Deb Faas.

Christopher’s hobbies included hunting, fishing, biking, and aviation of any kind. He loved flying to different cities to explore new airports. He loved nature of any kind, especially collecting Monarch eggs, caterpillars and milkweed to watch them become butterflies.

He loved Wisconsin sports teams, Packers, Bucks, Brewers, and Badgers.  He loved flying to Alaska to visit his siblings and their families and his many new friends. He would always get into a serious game of rummy.  He had four parakeets that he referred to as “ his boys”. Christopher enjoyed working at Festival Foods and Kwik Trip and the wonderful people he worked with.

He is survived by his parents John and Deb, his siblings Tracy, Michelle (Dan), Matthew (Josie), Amanda (Sam). His nieces and nephews Kenny (Linnea), Alexia (Logan), Declan, Brody, Matthew, Ryker, Raine, Presley, great nephew Jackson, and many aunts uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

A funeral mass will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 11:00 am at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Onalaska. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until time of service at the church. Luncheon to follow mass at the church.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to. St. Patrick’s Catholic Church of Onalaska, or the Wisconsin Veterans Association.

The family would like to thank First responders, Alaska state troopers, and helicopter paramedics, especially troopers Seth Kollman and Quinn Nardin, who supported Michelle, Josie, Matthew and Ryker on the trail.

Special Thanks to everyone in Alaska for the support we received, especially Jane Schein for the luncheon after the services in Alaska.

    Sarah and I are So Sad to see Chris is in Heaven! I Knew His True Desire was too be In Alaska with Most of his Siblings, And His True Love of Nature! Well His Lifelong Goals may have Unexpectedly and Sadly ended! I am Quite sure Chris is Helping his Grandma Marge With all the Wonderful Four and Two Leggied Friend’s Marge Took under her Wings!
