Crystal Ann McDaniel, 49, of La Crosse passed away at home on July 12th, 2024. She was a caring mother, daughter, sister, niece and friend.

She was born on July 14th, 1974 to Raymond McDaniel and Betty Green in Black River Falls, WI. Crystal was a free spirit that lived each day to its fullest.

Crystal was a collector of many things. She enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, making jewelry, listening to music, cooking, coloring, camping, and photography. But above all she loved spending time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren and nephews. She had always expressed how much her family meant to her. Crystal was the type of person who would take the shirt off her back to help someone in need. She had a huge heart and would do anything she could for anyone who asked with no judgment.

She had many jobs over the years from fast food to housekeeping but most recently became a driver at GoRiteway and loved her job working with children with special needs.

Crystal is survived by her three children: Memory McDaniel, Michael Cloyd, and Malorie Olson. Grandchildren: Landon, MaTeo, and Allie-Rae. Her sister Danielle (Tom) Phillips. Nephews Raymond and Andrew. Brother Shawn (Kim) Neary. Step-mother Sue McDaniel. Aunts: Shirley Igl, Dorothy (Dave) Birks, and Nora Lee Green. Uncles: Raymond “Beaver” Green, Hank Green, and Tom (Debbie) Green and many cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents Raymond and Betty, as well as step-father Leonard Hawley. Uncles: Robert Green, Fred McDaniel, and Jim McDaniel. Aunts: Gladys Luther, Rosie Green, and Rose Biehl. Close friend and father to her youngest child Nathaniel Olson.

The family will plan A Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
