Curt Michael Brown
Our brother, Curt Michael Brown, passed away unexpectedly on August 27th, 2024, after a brief illness. He had been hospitalized at Mayo Hospital in La Crosse, WI.
Curt was born on May 28th,1959 to Charles and Mary “Delores” Brown in Southeast Iowa. Curt worked at the Place of Grace in La Crosse for many years where he made several friends. In his younger years he also worked road construction. He enjoyed doing lawn work for others, the Green Bay Packers, antiques, and spending time with his family.
Curt is survived by his brother, Chuck (Connie) Brown of Lansing, Iowa, sisters Dana (Dan) Malin of Genoa, WI, Darcy (Brook) Baumann of Hinckley, MN, and Danette (Steve) Melsness of Montrose, MN, in addition to his many nieces and nephews. Curt’s family also wishes to remember his very special friend, Joe Kruse.
Curt was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Chris Brown, and his brother, Craig Brown.
Curt will be honored by his family in a private ceremony in the days to come.
We wish to thank Catholic Charities for their help and support of Curt, the Place of Grace, and his compassionate healthcare providers during his lifetime as well as during his brief illness. Blessed be Curt’s memory.

My husband, Deacon Richard Sage, always had a soft spot for Curt. May Curt find peace and maybe run into Richard on the other side. My condolences to his family.

I’m very sorry to hear of Curt’s passing. Curt was always so kind and helpful to us after Rollie’s illness. He was willing to do anything to help. He missed his parents and now will be together again. Rest in Peace, Curt.
