David Dale Schurhammer
David Dale Schurhammer, Jr., age 81, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 26, 2023. David was born on June 16, 1942 to David and Erma Schurhammer. He was one of seven children.
David married Judith Mary Sullivan on October 28, 1961. Together they raised seven children. Early in his career he worked in grocery sales for Super Value. He went on to work as a mechanic for many years.
He enjoyed woodworking and made most of the furniture for his family. After retirement, he became an avid model railroad builder and collector. He traveled the country to attend railroad conventions and chase trains.
David was proceeded in death by his parents, his brother Jerry, and his wife of 55 years, Judith, who passed away in 2016.
David is survived by his children John, Ann, Mary, Jim, Jeff, Amy and Joe. He is also survived by his brother Steve and sisters Jean, Barbara, Caren and Sherry.
Services will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023 at 1:00 pm at The Gathering Place, 133 Mason Street, Onalaska, Wisconsin. Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family at this time.

Dave was a wonderful guy, and a great railroad buddy. I bought lots of terrific model railroad buildings and locomotives/cars from him. My condolences to the Schurhammer Family.
