Of Sparta- Dennis J. Brueggeman, 78, died peacefully on May 6, 2011 in his home.

He was born on August 8, 1932 to Joseph and Catherine (Blaha) Brueggeman. Dennis married Donna B. Jaeger on August 5, 1966 in Caledonia, MN.

 

Dennis enjoyed reading, walking his dog, Pep-Cee and spending time with family. He owned and operated Joe’s Auto Repair in La Crosse. He was a very proud auto mechanic.

 

He is survived by his wife; 2 daughters, Shellie (Bob) Spors, Wendy (Jim) VonRuden; son, Terry Brueggeman; 2 special granddaughters, Chelsea VonRuden, Nicole Stelzner; brother, James (Leah) Brueggeman; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Denise; sister, Barbara; and his dog Pep-Cee.

 

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
