Dennis Lloyd Kellar passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at his home in LaFarge, after a years long battle with cancer. He was born October 19, 1949, in Viroqua, WI to Velma (Klein) Kellar and Lloyd “Laddie” Kellar. Upon graduating from LaFarge High School in 1968. Dennis started working at the Chevrolet factory in Janesville. In August of 1969, he started a long career with Oscar Mayer, retiring after 33 years. He owned the Professional Karate Center in Middleton for many years. Other interests include traveling, hunting, snowmobiling (in his younger years), golf, pool and was always up for a game of Poker or Euchre. He was an excellent card player and you’d better have known what you were doing, if you were ever his partner. He is survived by his son, Shane (Laura Fleischman) Kellar of Waunakee, WI and daughter, Kelli (Stefan) Endres of Dane, WI. Four grandchildren; Sebastian and Savannah Kellar, Levi and Zander Endres. Brother Terry (Marcia) Kellar of Elgin, SC, Paula (Dennis) Brooks of Beloit, WI and Rhonda Wemmer of LaFarge, WI. Several nieces and nephews and his best fur buddy, his dog, Blue. He was preceded in death by parents Velma and Lloyd, his Goddaughter Jodi (Barlow) Rickert and many aunts and uncles. A celebration of life will be held on April 30, 2023 at the Rockton Bar S2463 Rockton Rd LaFarge, WI from 1:00pm-4:00pm.

Special thank you to Rhonda Wemmer, Danny Thayer and St. Croix Hospice for looking after dad and all the help you provided when he was so sick.

So sorry to hear this. I often think about Dennis and have wondered where/how he was doing as I have continued on my martial arts journey. He was a wonderful instructor and a wonderful person!
