June 11, 2024 | 2 comments

Diana Lynn Greenwood, 74, of Arkdale, WI, passed away peacefully June 5, 2024, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, WI.

She was born, October 12, 1949, to the late Ruth J. Ruckert “Moffitt” and John F. Ruckert Sr.
She married Edward E. Greenwood Sr., February 28, 1970, at First Methodist Church, Beloit, WI.
Diana was known for her cherished love of owls, Elvis, Beauty and the Beast, cheesy B-rated movies, and crime TV. She embodied independence, strength, and a loving nature. She enjoyed working on puzzles, playing games with family, talking with the great-grandchildren on video calls, going to the casino, driving, and traveling when possible. In her earlier years, she loved doing beaded crafts with her mother-in-law, going to have coffee and entering the local Craft events. Always welcoming with open arms, she provided a home, love, and hugs to all. She always helped with grandchildren and tirelessly worked hard despite being widowed at a young age. As the glue that held four generations of family together, Diana was deeply loved by all.
She is survived by her children, Edward E. Greenwood Jr., Lorie A Greenwood, and Jessica R. Greenwood, grandchildren, Michael A. Laffin, Stephanie L. Marty, Willow B. Greenwood, and Sierra S Plantikow; great-grandchildren, Ayanna G. Marty, Khloe L. Marty, Emma J Hardy, Falicity B. Marty, and Nevaeh J. Laffin, along with her five siblings, two sisters and three brothers.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward E. Greenwood Sr.; mother, Ruth Ruckert “Moffit”; father, John Ruckert Sr; siblings, Dwayne Ruckert, and Crystal Playter.
Thank you to Four Winds, Tracy Greenwood, Taryl Plantikow, Tanya and Skyler McDonald, Grant Marty, and Nathan Hardy.

We only met once at nuptials of my daughter Tracy to Edward Jr.I was very impressed by her kindness towards me and my guest at the wedding. Rest in peace and power Diana. I hope you are reunited with your beloved husband and find your well deserved rest.
