Donald L. Severtson
Donald L. Severtson, 88, of Onalaska, WI passed away peacefully on Monday, May 5th at Bluffview Memory Care.
Don was born on April 16th, 1937 to Leonard and Thelma Severtson in Grand Forks, North Dakota. After graduating from Central High School in 1956 he joined the Navy. He served for two years before returning home to pursue a career as a Dental Lab Technician.
Shortly after returning home, he married his high school sweetheart, Darla Marcotte. Don and Darla went on to have two daughters, Deb & Brenda.
Don enjoyed many things. Earlier in life, he and Darla would spend time boating, motorcycling, and snowmobiling with friends. Friday night cocktails (and dinner) and weekends spent watching grandkids in the pool were always on the agenda. Don & his daughter, Deb, planned many fun trips for the family. He especially enjoyed trips to Fort Myers Beach, FL with the Grandkids & Bemidji, MN where he spent time with family and friends at Grace Lake.
Don is survived by his loving wife, Darla, of 67 years. His two daughters. Deb Severtson of La Crosse, WI & Brenda Erickson of La Crescent, MN. Granddaughters Amie Koxlien (Nate) of Onalaska, WI & Shilo McNally (Caleb) of Houston, MN. Great Grandchildren Kinsley, Maren, and Bria Koxlien and Parker McNally. His sister. Marilyn Berg of East Grand Foks, MN, Brother-in-law Craig Marcotte (kitty) of Grand Forks, ND & Sister-in-law Dana Kilanowski (Sam) of Palmdale, CA. as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard & Thelma and his Granddaughter, Ashli Sue Jambois.

Don’s celebration of life will be held at North Presbyterian church at a later date. Please check back for dates. Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
Don was always one with a quick smile ! Was lucky to know him. You all are in my prayers!
Condolences to the family. Spent my teen+ years at their house. He was a kind and loving Dad and he loved his family dearly, especially his wife Darla. I’m grateful to have known him. Will cherish the memories always

I have so many good memories of Don and Darla and all of the fun times we had growing up next-door. I’m so sorry for your loss, it’s hard when a loved one passes on, but he will be very happy in heaven and waiting for all of you… sending love and hugs!
