Donnie Whitaker
Donnie Whitaker, 75, passed away July 4, 2023 surrounded by family at Mayo Hospital in La Crosse.
Donnie was born on Jan 15, 1948 in Elizabethtown, North Carolina to Dick and Daisy Whitaker. He served honorably in the United States Army for over 24 years. After settling in La Crosse Wisconsin, he enjoyed retirement to the fullest.
Donnie is survived by his wife Laura of 54 years, children Michelle (Matthew) Clements, Kristina (Jeremiah) Conca, and his three grandchildren Collin, Jonas and Emma.
Anyone who knew him, would know he wouldn’t want a fuss, so deal a hand of Euchre and raise a glass to Donnie!
To Donnie’s family, you have our deepest sympathy. We always had a heck of a good time talking and relaxing over a couple of bottles of barley pop with Donnie. It just won’t be the same now,not seeing his smile and hearing his greeting. So here’s to you Donnie. RIP
Donnie was such a great friend to so many. He was loved by so many more. He will truly be missed. My heartfelt love, sympathy and prayers to his family. Love you and miss you so much Donnie.
