Elizabeth  “Liddy” (White) Dobbs, 49, of La Crosse, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse surrounded by love after a life long battle with depression.  Liddy was born April 25, 1966 to William and Nancy White.

Liddy received her HSED in 1984 and later received her associates degree in accounting, both from Western Technical College.

She married Demetruis Conner in October 1984.  They later divorced.  Durring this time she was blessed with her son, DJ, and two step children, Sabrina and Guy.  She later met and married Silas Dobbs III they were blessed with a son, Jarrod, and daughter, Katy and two step children, Silas and Jordannah.

Her children were her pride and joy.  Nothing made her smile more than spending time with her kids.  As her boys grew into men with lives of their own, she filled the spaces with her daughter Katy.  Katy and her mom loved spending time watching movies and doing all of the girl things moms and daughters do, creating lasting memories.

Liddy left a lasting impression on every person she met.  She loved to play spades, cribbage, dominoes, backgammon, and many other games and was quite “cut throat” in her desire to win, but did so with lots of laughter, smiles, and great enjoyment if she won.

Liddy is survived by her husband, Silas Dobbs III; children DJ (Aislinn) Conner, Jarrod Dobbs, Katy Dobbs; step children, Silas Dobbs IV, Jordannah Delpho, Sabrina (James) Beach, Guy (Shawna) Conner; grandchildren, Kolbin Lauer, “Lil”DJ Conner, Akira “Tootie” Conner, Amirah “Bean” Conner; 9 step grandchildren; mother, Nancy White; brother, Bill White; sister, Casey (Jerry) Holtz; two nieces, Cassie and Ellie; two “cousins”, Amy, Wayne Oenes; and her beloved cat, Fritz.

She also leaves behind he “second family”, her friends, Karen Harding and her children, Brittney and Jeral Jenkins, Sharon Radford, Annette Williams and her daughter Shannon Thorson, Laura Holstein (Deb) her friend of 44 years, Lynnette Muenzenberger, Lori (Jeff) Voves, and Lasinda (Gavin) Burr.  Together with Liddy we were the “five L’s” and spent the last 14 years creating amazing memories and doing our best to support each other through life’s rough moments.  Though we are now the “four L’s” we will continue creating memories, supporting each other, and cherishing the memories that Liddy left us with.  She is further survived by Laura’s children, Aislinn, Matt, and Jeremy Voves, and Lucien Stremcha who always thought of Liddy as their other mom.

She is preceded in death by her father, William White; grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.

Her family and friends give a heartfelt thank you to the incredible team of people in the ICU at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse for the amazing care and compassion given to Liddy, her family, and friends during the last weeks of her life, especially Dr. Gehrke, Dr. Deyo, Melani, Jeremy, Michelle, Paige, Pam, Wendy, Barb, Scott, Jenna, Clare, Hanna S., Monica, Patty, Ben, Afton, and Hannah A, you made a difficult time a little easier on all of us.  There aren’t enough thank yous to show our gratitude for all that you do.

A celebration of Liddy’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 13 at the Houska Park Shelter.  Please come and share your memories of Liddy with all of her friends and family.  In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
