Ernest “Bud” Alfred Ortmeier, 87, of Stoddard, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2015 at his home.  Bud was born on December 25, 1927 to Ernest and Amelia (Michel) Ortmeier.

Bud served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.  He worked as a commercial fisherman and enjoyed trapping and gardening.  Bud would often be seen walking or riding his bike to Stoddard to play euchre.

He is survived by his brothers, Kennith, Jerry, Robert; sister, Betty Hall; and many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Virginia Ortmeier; sister in law, Sheral Ortmeier; brother in law, William Hall; and one nephew.

A celebration of life will be held from 1-3 pm on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Coulee Region Cremation Group, 133 Mason St. Onalaska, WI.
